Protecting Ayr's past, investing in our future

Ayr Townscape Heritage Initiative (THI) aims to ensure the survival of the most important buildings within the historic heart of the town.
To do this, we make grant funding available to owners of buildings within the THI area for conservation and refurbishment works.

Our second aim is to promote the architectural heritage of Ayr town centre. Although it’s still early days for us, we are working on a series of events and lectures, starting in May. The Events section gives you our full programme.

We are also developing a series of information leaflets on the historic legacy of the town centre and technical advice, which will be available for download through the website in our Learn More section.

We update our News section often, and it’s the best place to find out what’s happening right now.
